1) The Matrix - (because I love Keanu Reeves and I love Carrie Ann Moss and I liked being thoroughly confused)
2) Pump up the Volume ( I watched this a couple of nights after dumping an oppressive boyfriend, its message was just what I needed)
3) Breakfast at Tiffany's (Audrey Hepburn trying to steal a goldfish in a bowl and calling people superrats - what more do you need)
4) When Harry Met Sally( this one led to a very fruitful discussion of whether men and women can just be friends. The answer is : in some cases, no, and that works for me ;)
5) Almost anything with Vin Diesel or Guy Pearce in it ( I looooooove to watch these two men, although even the Vin love didn’t stop me from hating 'A Man Apart'. I only wanted to see him shooting a gun while not wearing a shirt, he was a drug enforcement agent in California, it didn’t seem like a stretch. Alas, I was disappointed.)

5) Cake - Comfort Eagle (it's just too cool not to love and I don't care if the song short skirt, long jacket is SUPPOSED to be about the commercialization of culture, I know it's actually about me.)

1) Erica Jong - How To Save Your Own Life (A live your life your way message wrapped in a lot of titillation)
2) Sarah Jane Gilman - How to Rule the World as a Smartmouth Goddess (This one speaks for itself)
3) Elizabeth George - ( I love all of her novels, with the possible exception of Playing for the Ashes which didn't really do it for me)
4) Tanya Huff - Summon the Keeper, The Second Summoning, The Long Hot Summoning (funny fantasy novels about the people who keep magic from leaking into our world, cool stuff)
